Fitness Tip of The Day: 𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱?

𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱? The morning coffee, day time Red Bull, and pre workout drinks may be ruining you. A lot of us don't realize this on a day to day basis, but in our body above the kidney lies an encoring gland called 𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀. They do a lot of work for us including the production of a variety of hormones to produce adrenaline and cortisol, regulate blood pressure, regulate salt balance, regulate electrolyte balance, regulate metabolism, and suppress the immune system. When the Adrenal Gland is overworked, it like yourself goes into fatigue. Typically 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑢𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 the Adrenal Glands comes from taking in a lot of stimulants such as caffeine on a daily basis, encountering a lot of stress, or not getting proper sleep. Signs of fatigue are; having trouble getting out of bed, feeling tired all the time, inability to handle stress, craving salty food, being more energetic in the evening, etc. So what can you do? First of all, lay off stimulants for a few weeks. Give your glands a break. You may think (like I used to), "I can't get through the day without my cup of Joe." Trust me, if you let your adrenal glands recharge, you'll feel much better and much less tired later on. Also, think about it this way. You may have to go through days of being tired now but 10, 20, 30 years down the path it's going to be more than fatigue if you keep neglecting those glands.

Other things you can do help with your Adrenal Gland recovery include; eating quality protein, eating green leafy superfoods such as spinach, eating healthy fats such as salmon and nuts, increasing magnesium intake, and bringing down inflammation.

Remember, fitness and health isn't just about the "now" phase and looking good. It's also about preparing to be healthy when you get older.
