Simply put the Bicep "pulls" and the Tricep "pushes", but the bicep's long head has another function which is to 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 at the forearm. In exercise science, the palms facing up or forwards along the saggital line is called "supination" in contrast to "pronation" being faced down of the palms.
