Fitness Tip of The Day: Its a Misconception

Thinking that you get too bulky if you hit the gym is a 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. I typically hear this from females and some middle age males. However, the simple truth is that going to the gym and lifting weights is not going to make you the Hulk. If it was that easy I would probably be over 200 lbs by now. A good physique and/or a healthy lifestyle is built from a balanced combination of training and eating. If you did want to be big and bulky you are going to have to eat a lot more, and I mean a lot. What you eat and how much you eat is depended on what your desired outcome is. If you want to be toned or drop some extra fat, you are going to eat in a way to do so. No matter what you should be training or participating in some sort of physical exercise for their many benefits including improved brain health, joint health, skin health, energy levels, better sleep, decreasing risk of chronic diseases, etc. Just the misconception of thinking you will get too big is not an excuse to avoid activity. Sign up for a gym and start slow. Introduce your body to exercising and it will thank you later down the road!
